Enjoy the Andes by bike
In the heart of the Callejón de Huaylas there is a huge potential to develop mountain biking and, in turn, many present tourist attractions. Ideal mix to enjoy a circuit of mtb that will make you live an unforgettable adventure. This program is designed for a wider group of people, having the opportunity to enjoy a descent of little physical demand and degree of difficulty along the road that leads to the coast from Huaraz.
At the same time, you can learn about an Inca trail that served as a connection between the inhabitants of the coast and those of Pumacayan and Chavín. At the end of the trip you will have an enriching experience of what the Andes offer.

Travel Program

Itinerary

Day 01: Huaraz - Punta Callan - Huaraz
Before we depart on our bike trip, your mountain bike guide will meet you in the hotel to give you the safety and route debriefing. We will start the 45 minute ascent in car to Punta Callán, via Casma, until we arrive at 4204 meters above sea level. From there, we will begin our descent on asphalt via the main highway towards Huaraz. In our path, we will enjoy a privileged view of the Cordillera Blanca y the Huaylas Pass. The route will pass by several villages until we arrive at Urpay, ending the Inca trail and close to Huaraz.
From there we enjoy lunch and finally return to the hotel.

Before the experience, it’s important to know your aptitude to undertake an activity such as this. We are able to adjust the activity to your level so that you enjoy all that the Andes have to offer. Difficulty level moderate: easy terrain, asphalt, open curves, and high altitude mostly 4000 meters above sea level. Elevation gain of more than 1000 m with inclines of more than 4%. It’s recommended that you have good physical condition.

We will depart from Huaraz at 8am to Punto Callán. We will return from 4pm.
